Plot summary
Mike Mitchell, a television star, flies home to the Hudson Valley for the holidays and hopes for a quiet break with Andi Cruz, a divorced travel agent he has known since childhood, and her son Noah. He is also considering asking Andi to marry him and trying to be a parent figure to Noah, whose father, Ryan Zane, keeps drifting in and out of the boy's life and has just reappeared. Mike's parents, Bill and Phylis, have retired and ended the tradition of turning their house into a Christmas showpiece. Then Mike's publicist Kathleen books him on Deck Those Halls, a decorating contest between two celebrities, and when his opponent withdraws she matches him against his older brother, bakery owner Brandon, whose architect husband Jake and their babies are visiting from Denver.
