Plot summary
Mickey Mouse's band has just taken its applause for Hérold's Zampa when it starts Rossini's William Tell overture in a park, with Mickey conducting. Goofy plays clarinet, Horace Horsecollar percussion and Clarabelle Cow flute. Mickey's performance is interrupted first when Peter Pig's trumpet takes on a vibrato and Paddy Pig's tuba sounds the Prelude: Dawn passage. Donald Duck then rolls a vendor cart through the audience, offering popcorn, lemonade, peanuts and ice cream. At the finale, Donald answers the band on a flute, holding their tempo, and the players follow him into his tune. Mickey breaks the flute in two, and Donald pulls out another.
