Plot summary
Harley Williams is a devoted viewer of The Banana Splits, the children's series whose cast is four animatronic characters, Fleegle, Bingo, Drooper and Snorky, sharing the screen with the human co-star Stevie. For his birthday his parents, Beth and Mitch, bring him to a live taping at Taft Studios. Harley's half-brother Austin and a classmate, Zoe, come along. Among the audience and crew are the host Paige and her assistant Doug, the couple Thadd and Poppy Glarady, a girl named Parker who hopes to perform, her father Jonathan, and Sal, a security guard. Before the recording, the network's new vice president of programming, Andy Viktorson, tells the producer Rebecca Rayson that the show is ending. Drooper learns of it through Stevie, and the show's four stars begin killing the people around them.
