Plot summary
Kenneth is released early from a seven-year sentence, four years after a home-jacking with his brother Dave went wrong and Dave ran off. Dave collects him and drives him to their mother, Mariette, who makes Dave promise to keep Kenneth out of trouble. Dave works at a car wash and is sober, and he asks his boss, Robert, to hire Kenneth; Robert agrees after losing a bet on a penalty kick. Dave has been seeing Sylvie, Kenneth's ex-girlfriend, who works as a waitress at a nightclub and attends AA meetings. She is pregnant with Dave's child and wants Kenneth told; Dave hesitates.
