Plot summary
David Samuels comes from an intellectual Jewish family in the posh Amsterdam Old South, where his parents are rich and the residents are orderly people. He has had a girlfriend, Naomi, for a few years. One day he spots a beautiful black woman and decides to give up Naomi so that he can find a girl from a different neighborhood. He wants a ghetto queen, and his parents and his friends declare him mad. David continues unabated.
