Plot summary

The O'Dell farm in rural Georgia has been in the family for generations, and the debt against it now puts the place in line for foreclosure. Tommy O'Dell and his brother David look for a way out, and they find one in an accountant who never gives his name. He does not work the way other accountants do. He holds that corporate conspiracies lie behind the decline of family farms across America, and he is on a quest to save Southern culture. He takes the brothers along, determined that one more family farm should survive, and his methods are not the usual sort.
