Plot summary
Leo runs a crime-scene cleanup business, and Elvis is the assistant who joins him on a job at a cabin in the Norwegian woods after a death there. Elvis is not accustomed to blood. In the basement Leo comes upon Thale, a young woman with a cow's tail who cannot speak and sings instead. Her captor left behind a tape describing her life in captivity and the medical experiments carried out on her. Norwegian folklore tells of the huldra, a forest spirit who looks from the front like a beautiful young woman, whose back is like a hollowed tree, and who is said to steal human babies.
