Plot summary
Tarzan and Jane have been married for a year in the jungle, and their first anniversary has arrived. Jane wants the celebration to be a proper English one, and she looks for a present suited to the occasion with Tantor the elephant and Terk the gorilla at her side. The three talk over the past year, and the memories return one at a time. One of them is the visit of three of Jane's friends, who arrive believing the jungle holds her against her will and then stay on for a longer visit. Jane arranges an English-style picnic for them.

- Tarzan & Jane was constructed largely as a flashback to three episodes of the TV series The Legend of Tarzan, "Tarzan and the British Invasion", "Tarzan and the Volcanic Diamond Mine" and "Tarzan and the Flying Ace", which were the last episodes of that show to air, though they took place much earlier in production order.
