Plot summary
In 2008, Tiffany Rubin is a mother in Queens, New York, raising her six-year-old son, Kobe. Kobe's biological father, Jeff, abducts the boy and takes him to Seoul, South Korea, leaving Tiffany in New York without her child. Her mother, Belzora, urges her to seek counsel, so Tiffany approaches Mark Miller, who works for the American Association for Lost Children, a charitable organization. Mark takes on her case and guides her through the process of getting to Korea, where she means to bring Kobe home.
