Plot summary
Steve Denube and Dennis Dannelly work as paramedics in New Orleans. Steve is a womanizer; Dennis is his devoted partner, with a teenage daughter, Brianna. Call after call, the two find deaths that trace back to Synchronic, a new designer drug. On one call, a contaminated needle pricks Steve. Tests find a possible infection, along with cancer in his pineal gland, which never developed properly. Steve sets out to learn where Synchronic comes from and what it does.
