Plot summary
Ten thousand players remain trapped inside the virtual game Sword Art Online. Asuna, who has cleared Aincrad's first floor, teams up with Kirito and keeps climbing, guided by the information broker Argo. Clearing the floors moves ahead, yet the two strongest player groups, the Aincrad Liberation Squad and the Dragon Knights Brigade, argue over how to finish the game. In the dungeon beneath the fifth floor's main town, Asuna listens as players lay out a plan that would set the guilds against each other, one that would send the Aincrad Liberation Squad after the next raid boss alone. She and Kirito take the news to Kibaou, who leads that guild.
