Plot summary
Uta is a pop superstar whose concert brings the Straw Hat Pirates to Elegia. At the show, Luffy greets her, knowing she is Shanks's daughter. Uta has the ability to conjure anything she wishes and to trap anyone who opposes her. She wants Luffy to abandon piracy and remain in her concert forever. The Straw Hats refuse, and Uta then traps every Straw Hat but Luffy. Trafalgar Law and Bartolomeo pull him free. Meanwhile, the Five Elders regard Uta's ability as a danger to the world, and Marine Fleet Admiral Akainu sends a convoy led by Admirals Kizaru and Fujitora to Elegia to subdue her.

- Ado's "New Genesis", the theme song of One Piece Film: Red, topped Apple Music's Global Top 100 chart, the first Japanese song ever to do so, and became the world's number one song, beating out tracks by Beyoncé and DJ Khaled.
- Gorō Taniguchi, the director of One Piece Film: Red, had earlier directed the 1998 OVA One Piece: Take Down! The Pirate Ganzak! at Production I.G, the first animated adaptation of the manga, released before Toei's anime series; Oda called Taniguchi the first person ever to animate Luffy.
- Re-screened in Japanese cinemas more than a year after its release, the film passed 20 billion yen on October 29, 2023, the eighth film in history to do so, after taking 300 million yen from 230,000 tickets in two weeks of encore screenings.
- One Piece Film: Red held the number one spot at the Japanese box office for eleven consecutive weeks, only the fifth film, Hollywood titles included, ever to manage that, with 17.1 billion yen from 12.31 million admissions by that point.
- In 2022 Oricon reported that Ado became the first artist in its history to have five songs in the Top 5 Streaming Chart, a feat she held for two weeks, and the first ever to lead three of the tracker's digital rankings for three straight weeks.
