Plot summary
Conklin T. comes from Iowa to California for a summer of teaching at Regency High School, sharing an apartment with two friends who take jobs at the same school. She sets out to form an all-girl football team, and the coach already at the school opposes it; she also becomes involved with one of the male teachers. Sally is engaged to a man back home and finds herself drawn to an eccentric rock star. One of the women takes up with a student, a juvenile delinquent, and a male chauvinist teacher at the school talks another of the three into posing for photographs.

- Barbara Peeters, who had spent years at New World Pictures, notably directing second unit, asked Roger Corman when she would get to direct her own movie; Corman asked her to write a "three girls" film about teachers as a follow-up to The Student Teachers, and she agreed. Peeters, who was from Iowa, made the film about teachers coming from Iowa.
- Peeters said Corman does not hire anyone he does not trust, and lets a director do what they want as long as they open big, close big and resolve three stories, but insists on a sex scene or an action sequence every 15 minutes.
