Candice Rialson

Candice Rialson was an American actress who worked mainly in 1970s exploitation films. Born in Santa Monica, California, and brought up in Tustin, she was crowned Miss Hermosa Beach at eighteen and performed as a go-go dancer before a small role in The Gay Deceivers sparked her interest in acting. After her casting in Pets, she began making television appearances on shows including Shaft, The Magician, Adam's Rib, and Maude. New World Pictures cast her as the lead in Candy Stripe Nurses and later in Summer School Teachers (1975); she also played a college art student in The Eiger Sanction (1975). She starred in Hollywood Boulevard (1976), marking the directing debut of Joe Dante and Allan Arkush, and took her final leading role in Chatterbox! (1977). In later years she had small roles in Moonshine County Express and Stunts, and Winter Kills was her last film. Quentin Tarantino said she inspired Bridget Fonda's character in Jackie Brown.
