Plot summary
Todd lives in Los Angeles and has OCD, and his aversion to bodily fluids has kept his relationships with men from going far. He starts trying to date women, an experiment his psychoanalyst questions. Todd fears being alone and keeps going. He meets Rory in a library's self-help section, and the two share the same eccentric sense of humor. Hours of conversation follow, then Rory moves in with him and comes along on his house-sitting jobs. Todd's friends see the relationship as a symptom of his internalized homophobia, and they question it. Rory agrees to be his girlfriend with sex off the table.
