Plot summary
Rob, an Australian lawyer, and his French wife Pia, an artist, spend a day sailing Western Port, Victoria, and steer into a channel through the mangroves. The tide turns, they abandon their dinghy, and as night falls they head for a distant light. On a desolate road, a man is being beaten beside a parked truck by an attacker they never see, so they flee. Rain begins, and they take refuge in a decrepit farmhouse, where Rob finds a large marijuana crop in a shed. Poppy and his sons Jimmy and Brett arrive in that same truck, and the family makes plain what they think of intruders in their home.
