Plot summary
Karim, Maureen's ex-husband, has their six-year-old daughter Amina snuck out of the country in 1993 and taken to the Middle East. Maureen spends the years that follow trying without success to find her child. She meets Robeson, a former Marine who specializes in recovering abducted children. He promises to help her find Amina, provided she works with him, and the two form an uneasy partnership to bring the girl home.
