Plot summary
The crew's robberies are carried out anonymously, with each getaway relying on an extreme sport such as skating or snowboarding. Lieutenant Macgruder leads the police hunt for Slim, Frank, Otis and Alex, and the four have so far avoided capture. Someone who knows their identities threatens to hand the names to the police unless the group stages a robbery on his behalf. Surtayne, an underworld enforcer, brings a second demand from the mob: the crew works for them or dies. Slim has become involved with Karen, a police detective who distrusts Macgruder, and he wants to protect her and his friends from both threats.
