Plot summary
Amy's birthday gift from David Nash is a house he picked up cheap out of foreclosure. Amy dislikes it but tells him she loves it. Trish, a friend, drops off a gift and leaves for a date, and a police officer named Ray stops by to introduce himself. A noise in the room is put down to rats. When Amy scratches herself on a wall, David works the panel loose and finds heroin packed behind it. They mean to leave, but Ray is outside with a gun; he says he bet a friend twenty dollars that they would not find the stash. David slams into Ray's car, dropping bikes on him, and the couple ducks inside, where a switch throws the house into lockdown. Ray's partner, Andy Spector, arrives and insists the couple be kept alive.
