Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Starship (2011)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Darren Criss was originally meant to play the part of Tootsie Noodles in Starship, but he became occupied by Glee.
- According to Brian Holden, Starship cannot be licensed because no sheet music exists: Darren Criss composed the score using chord charts, which would need to be transcribed before anyone else could stage the show.
- Starship was the first StarKid production in which Darren Criss did not appear, since he was filming Glee; his absence is referenced on stage, and Brian Holden as the villain Junior wears Criss's signature pink Wayfarer sunglasses.
- Because Starship was staged in Chicago and not in Michigan, many StarKid members who had yet to graduate could only make video appearances. Joey Richter was the only ungraduated StarKid member to appear in Starship.
