Plot summary
A gang boss in Chinatown named Gregory wants an ancient Chinese statuette, one of four god statues said to hold immense power, and Ben McGewan has until dawn to bring it to him. The theft is meant to wipe out what Ben owes, and the money left over pays the crew he assembles for the night, among them three bank robbers hired for the break-in itself. The cover is an after-hours party at a nightclub, loud enough to hide the work going on in the basement. The vault the crew is after belongs to the bank next door, and the club's owner fears the noise will cost him his license. Two FBI agents are in the crowd over a drugs deal.
