Plot summary
Peter is a follower of Jesus and, among the disciples, a reluctant but passionate leader. He is present at the crucifixion, and in the days after it he and the others live in fear. The community is renewed at Pentecost, Saul is converted, and the apostles agree to baptize pagans before they disperse to preach in different cities. In Rome, the aristocrat Persius and his household encounter the teachings that reach the city.
