Marco Leonardi

Biography

Marco Leonardi is an Australian-born Italian actor who works in both film and television. Born in Melbourne in 1971 to Italian parents, he moved to Italy when he was four. At 17 he took the lead in the Italian film Cinema Paradiso (1988), which was acclaimed. He went on to star in the Mexican production Like Water for Chocolate (1992). Several of his films were made in the United States, among them Once Upon a Time in Mexico (2003) and From Dusk Till Dawn 3: The Hangman's Daughter (2000). He also appeared in the Canadian film The Five Senses. Twice he has been nominated for the Nastro d'Argento for Best Actor.
