Plot summary
In Southern California, Kurt Kunkle wants nothing more than to be a social media star. Bobby, a young man he once babysat, now draws big livestream audiences, and Kurt watches with envy. He signs on as a driver for the rideshare app Spree, mounts cameras around his car and launches a livestream called The Lesson, promising to show viewers how to become famous online. His plan for pulling in an audience means killing the passengers he picks up. Among them are Mario and Jessie, a comedian with a large following. Kurt is awestruck by her, and she leaves the ride unimpressed by his hunger for followers.
