Plot summary
Veronica, a 22-year-old actress from a small town, has not had a date in a year, so her best friend Mike takes her to a Halloween party at a Los Angeles nightclub. There she meets two men: Abel, a freelance rock critic with a novel in progress, and Zed, a drummer in a punk band. Abel pursues her and gets her number, and she and Zed end the night together in the club bathroom. Rather than choose, Veronica dates both, and the men agree to share her. When Abel and Zed meet face to face they are hostile to each other, and Mike is openly critical of the arrangement.
