Plot summary
Bill Matthews is a surgeon who is struck by lightning and recovers as a patient in his own hospital. There he meets Craig Murphy, an intern who suffered the same accident and has developed a capacitance for electrical voltage. Craig has an appetite for current, and Bill finds the same craving in himself. The two begin an intimate relationship while Bill recuperates, and Craig invites Bill to meet a strange underground circle of lightning survivors who all share the addiction.
