Plot summary
Erica Shaw is a documentary filmmaker who walked away from her career after a subject of an earlier project did something unspeakable. Alyssa Bradford-Cohen draws her back to the work. Alyssa's father, Campbell Bradford, is a dying billionaire whose life has been kept largely mysterious, and she wants Erica to capture it on camera, along with the connection he has to the town he came from. Almost nothing about that past is handed over, apart from a bottle of water taken from a spring nearby. Erica checks in at a resort the man once visited, and there her research turns up an evil no one can account for.
