Plot summary
Slaughterhouse is an exclusive British boarding school that takes in Donald Wallace, a teenager from a working-class family, after his father dies. He does not fit in. A pupil killed himself there the term before, and other pupils have gone missing. The house prefect is overzealous, and he comes from a line of war criminals. The headmaster runs a fracking scheme, and a sinkhole has opened nearby.
