Plot summary
Angelica Zacherly and her brother James travel to East Willard, a small town, after a death in their family. They arrive on Christmas Eve to pay their respects and stay at a bed and breakfast. There they hear the legend of Black Peter, the vengeful brother of Santa Claus. The siblings also find the lost journal of Jeffrey Butler. What it records is a sordid history of East Willard, one rooted in reality rather than in the legend.
