Plot summary
On April 2, 2011, LCD Soundsystem plays a farewell concert at Madison Square Garden in New York, a show the band has announced as its last. The hours around it belong to frontman James Murphy, from the day of the performance to the morning after, and the film cuts between the stage and a long interview he gives to a pop culture writer. The set works through the band's catalog, among them "Dance Yrself Clean", "Drunk Girls", "All My Friends" and "Losing My Edge". Members of Arcade Fire add backing vocals to "North American Scum", and a comedian and musician joins Murphy for a duet on one song.
