Plot summary
At a party, a scuffle leaves a young man dead and his brother accusing officer Billy Grant of killing him. Billy leaves the police force. Ken Marx has moved from Kansas with his mother for his senior year of high school, and on his first day he takes an interest in Julie, whose boyfriend Tom is the school bully and warns him away. The school janitor is Billy, and when Tom beats Ken, Billy agrees to teach the newcomer how to defend himself, starting with the janitorial chores. Ken tells Julie he cannot be her friend while Tom is around. Tom trains at a dojo run by Lee.
