Plot summary
Major Siddhant Chaudhary is an army lawyer in New Delhi with no plans for a career in uniform and a taste for an easy posting. His friend Major Akash Kapoor, a dedicated army lawyer, arranges for the two of them to be posted together, and both are sent to Srinagar on the same case: Akash for the prosecution, Siddhant for the defense. Captain Javed Khan of the Rashtriya Rifles is accused of shooting Major Virendra Singh Rathore during a counter-insurgency operation, and an army inquiry has found him guilty of insubordination and murder. Javed admits the shooting but will not explain himself or help his lawyer. The two officers' commanding officer is Brigadier Rudra Pratap Singh, and Srinagar journalist Kavya Shastri keeps pressing Siddhant about the case.
