Plot summary
Bijou Blanche is a torch singer who has been sent away from one South Seas island after another. Edward Patrick 'Little Ned' Finnegan, a naval deserter, and Sasha Mencken, a magician who picks pockets, travel with her. She uses her charms to get what she wants from the men around her: politicians, navy men, gangsters, judges and a ship's doctor. On one island she meets Dan Brent, a naval officer, and a romance begins between them.
