Plot summary
Jack Kincaid lives with Lily, his wife, and their young son Charlie. During a camping trip, an object falls out of the sky, and Jack comes upon a ship that gives him a sphere granting superpowers. He uses those powers to help people, and the world calls him The Guard, but the work pulls him away from Charlie and the marriage ends. Ten years later, fourteen-year-old Charlie spends his birthday at Jack's house, where he and his friends find a lair beneath the home and Jack's secret identity.
