Plot summary
The only authority Julián Pérez still answers to is his mother, Doña Elvira, and she orders him to travel to Iraq and bring back his younger brother Juan, a private fighting there. For a man whose life has taken wrong turns, the mission is a chance at redemption. Julián returns to his native Sinaloa to assemble an elite crew for a suicidal mission. His best friend Carmelo Benavides, a Native Indigenous tomato farmer, signs on, as do José María 'Chema' Díaz and Rosalío Mendoza, two older veterans. The last place goes to Juventino Rodríguez 'Pumita', a dangerous convicted murderer rescued from prison.
