Plot summary
Modesto loses his seventh teaching post because of his ability to see the dead. He finds work at the Monforte school, where principal Tina Escalonilla is desperate: five students who died during detention twenty years earlier terrorize the place, and the haunting threatens to close it. Tina pleads with Modesto to stay and quiet the ghosts. At his therapist's office another ghost tells him that the dead linger over unfinished business, and Modesto decides the five need to pass the subject they never completed. The students, the rebellious Dani among them, are not eager to cooperate as Founder's Day approaches.
