Plot summary
After a car crash kills her father, Michelle wakes in a hospital with amnesia and her face ruined. She has no memory of anything supernatural that happened before the accident. Her doctor rebuilds her face from photographs of her family, and since she was judged a delinquent before the crash, she leaves the hospital for a home that lodges young offenders. On the day she goes, the janitor there is murdered. More people in her life die, and a detective named Joyner suspects that she is to blame. Michelle is haunted by hellish nightmares and tries to understand the malevolent past she cannot recall, hoping to save herself and those close to her.
