Biography
Tory Kittles is an American actor, writer and director who grew up in Lawtey, a small town in northern Florida, and moved quickly into film work after early supporting parts in Joel Schumacher's Tigerland (2000) and Phone Booth (2002). Roles in Malibu's Most Wanted (2003), Get Rich or Die Tryin' (2005), Next (2007), Miracle at St. Anna (2008) and Dragged Across Concrete (2019) followed. He is best known for television, playing Laroy in Sons of Anarchy, Clarence in Bessie, Broussard in Colony, and Detective Marcus Dante in The Equalizer after appearing in True Detective. His later film work includes Those Who Wish Me Dead (2021) and Wander Darkly (2020), and he played Frederick Douglass in Harriet. In 2024 he appeared on Broadway as Cephus in Samm-Art Williams's Home.
