Tom Georgeson

Tom Georgeson was an English actor who worked largely in television and film. Born in Liverpool in 1936, he began in amateur dramatics in the city before national service in the RAF as a radio direction finder. He moved to Australia, where he taught primary school while performing with the Adelaide company the Therry Society, and after returning to Britain he worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company and in repertory in Bristol, Nottingham, York and Liverpool. On television he appeared in three dramas by Alan Bleasdale, among them G.B.H. (1991), Scully (1984) and Boys from the Blackstuff (1982), and in Between the Lines from 1992 to 1994. He played Clamb, the lawyer's clerk, in the BBC One serial Bleak House (2005). His films included A Fish Called Wanda (1988) and Fierce Creatures (1997). He was nominated for a 2002 London Evening Standard Theatre Award for his performance in Frozen. He died in London in 2026.
