Plot summary
In 19th-century northern England, a God-fearing landowner named Earnshaw adopts Heathcliff, a mistreated gypsy boy who is also a foundling. Earnshaw raises the boy in his household alongside his daughter, Cathy, and the two grow up as stepsiblings.
