Terry Bradshaw
Biography
Terry Bradshaw is an American who played professional football as a quarterback for 14 seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers and later became a television sports analyst. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, he led Pittsburgh to four Super Bowl titles, was named Super Bowl MVP twice and NFL MVP in 1978, and became a Pro Football Hall of Fame member in 1989. After retiring in 1984, he worked as an NFL analyst for CBS, hosted The NFL Today, and from 1994 co-hosted Fox NFL Sunday, earning three Sports Emmy Awards. He has also acted in films, including Hooper (1978), Smokey and the Bandit II (1980), The Cannonball Run (1981), Failure to Launch (2006), and Father Figures (2017), and released country and gospel albums. In 2001, he became the first NFL player honored on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

A first
Before his NFL career, Bradshaw set a national record in the javelin throw at 245 feet while in high school, which earned him a spot in Sports Illustrated's Faces in the Crowd.
A first
In the 1970 NFL draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers took Bradshaw with the first overall pick. The Steelers got that pick by winning a coin flip tiebreaker against the Chicago Bears.
A change of course
In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Bradshaw put his name and image on peanut butter labels and sold the product. Television commercials for it ran in the Shreveport market.
Beyond film
Bradshaw's cover of "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" reached the country chart's top 20 in 1976, and it also landed at number 91 on the Hot 100.
A change of course
Bradshaw became part of NASCAR in 2001, teaming with HighLine Performance Group to create FitzBradshaw Racing. His time as an owner came to an end in 2006.
