Steve Forrest

Steve Forrest was an American actor born in Huntsville, Texas, and died in 2013. He earned a bachelor's degree from UCLA, where he studied theater, and did stagehand work at the La Jolla Playhouse before Gregory Peck cast him in a production of Goodbye Again and helped him get a screen test with MGM. He became known for films such as North Dallas Forty (1979) and Mommie Dearest (1981), and for the title role in the British crime drama The Baron. His television work included playing Lt. Hondo Harrelson on S.W.A.T. from 1975 to 1976, and he appeared in Gunsmoke: Return to Dodge (1987). He also made brief appearances in two comedies, Spies Like Us (1985) and Amazon Women on the Moon (1987). For Mommie Dearest, he won the Razzie for Worst Supporting Actor, and earlier he won a Golden Globe for New Star of the Year for So Big.
