Stephen Henderson
Biography
Stephen Henderson is an American actor who trained at the Juilliard School and later spent several seasons with the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, becoming a veteran performer of August Wilson's plays. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, he first appeared on Broadway in 2001 in Wilson's King Hedley II and was nominated for Tony Awards for Fences in 2010 and Between Riverside and Crazy in 2023. He won a 2015 Obie Award for Between Riverside and Crazy and shared a Drama Desk Award for the Jitney ensemble. His films include Keane (2004), Tower Heist (2011), Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close (2011), Fences (2016), Lady Bird (2017), Dune (2021), Manchester by the Sea (2016), Causeway (2022) and Civil War (2024). On television he has appeared in Law & Order, The Newsroom and Devs.
