Robin Hunter
Biography
Robin Hunter was an English actor who also performed and wrote in musicals, music hall, and comedy. Born in London in 1929, he appeared in films and on television between the 1950s and 1990s, with credits including Up Pompeii, the Carry On films, Sherlock Holmes, and Poirot. On stage he performed in musicals such as Damn Yankees, took the male lead in a West End production of Barefoot in the Park, and also appeared in The Pleasure of his Company. He wrote comedic scripts for the Aba Daba Music Hall, among them Botome's Dream, which was staged in Brighton. He also helped write plays, revues, and musical theater pieces. Robin Hunter died in 2004.
