Ray Romano
Biography
Ray Romano is an American comic actor and stand-up performer. Born in Queens and raised in Forest Hills, he entered the 1989 Johnnie Walker Comedy Search and began appearing on The Comedy Channel, later becoming a recurring guest voice on Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist. A stand-up set on Late Show with David Letterman led to CBS, where he starred as Raymond Barone on Everybody Loves Raymond; he won three Primetime Emmy Awards for that series, one for acting and two for producing. He co-created and starred in the TNT series Men of a Certain Age, played Hank Rizzoli on Parenthood, and from 2017 to 2019 he played Rick Moreweather on Get Shorty. He voiced Manny in the Ice Age series, including Ice Age (2002), The Meltdown (2006), Dawn of the Dinosaurs (2009), Continental Drift (2012), and Collision Course (2016). He also starred in Paddleton (2019), played Bill Bufalino in The Irishman (2019), and co-starred in The Big Sick (2017).
