Ramon Bieri
Biography
Ramon Bieri was an American actor who worked in both film and television. Born in St. Louis, he made guest appearances on many series, among them Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Hawaii Five-O, The Rockford Files, and Knight Rider. He also had ongoing parts on Room 222, where he played the vice principal, and St. Elsewhere. In 1971 and 1972 he was Lieutenant Barney Verick on the NBC drama Sarge. He took the title role in the NBC sitcom Joe's World, playing Joe Wabash, a Detroit housepainter, from December 1979 to July 1980. In 1981 he appeared with James Garner on Bret Maverick as the banker Elijah Crow. His film credits included Badlands (1973), The Andromeda Strain (1971), Grandview, U.S.A. (1984), The Sicilian (1987), The Grasshopper, and Reds. He died in 2001.
