Milton Reid

Milton Reid was an Anglo-Indian character actor and onetime professional wrestler whose long career in British movies and television was built on supporting villains, thugs and henchmen. Born and raised in Bombay, he moved to London in 1936 and did wartime service in the Army, his first screen work being an extra role in The Way Ahead (1944). After his discharge he wrestled under the names Jungle Boy and The Mighty Chang. From 1953 to 1979 he appeared in over 53 films and television programs, among them Yen in Ferry to Hong Kong (1959), the big pirate in Swiss Family Robinson (1960), the mute figure Mulatto in the Hammer production Captain Clegg (1962) and Sandor, Roger Moore's rooftop opponent, in The Spy Who Loved Me (1977). Other credits included Dr. No (1962), Deadlier Than the Male (1967), Dr. Phibes Rises Again (1972), The People That Time Forgot (1977), Terror (1979) and Arabian Adventure (1979). He died in 1987.
