Max Ryan
Biography
Max Ryan is a British actor who came to the profession after a career in sport. Born in 1967, he grew up in a family that moved between Europe and America for several years before settling in England. As a schoolboy he was a strong athlete who played football, captaining his school team and a weekend side and earning a trial at international level, and he later competed in motocross and motorcycle racing, picking up sponsorship and notable results in British championships before retiring from sport in 1998. He then returned to London and enrolled in a daytime theater class. Not long afterwards he was asked to try out for a television commercial, and the success of that work led him to begin acting professionally.
