Marshall Efron
Biography
Marshall Efron, born in Los Angeles, was an American actor and humorist whose earliest following came from the listener-sponsored Pacifica radio stations WBAI in New York and KPFK in Los Angeles. There he was a regular guest on programs hosted by Steve Post and Bob Fass, sometimes sharing the air with figures such as Paul Krassner, and he produced features including A Satirical View. He went on to appear on the PBS series The Great American Dream Machine, and he wrote children's books, including Bible Stories You Can't Forget. From 1973 to 1977 he starred on CBS in Marshall Efron's Illustrated, Simplified, and Painless Sunday School, an irregularly scheduled Sunday morning program in which he played every part, among them Adam, Eve and God, as well as the Snake in Eden and the Three Wise Men in the Christmas story.
