Kevork Malikyan

Kevork Malikyan is an Armenian-English actor and teacher who moved to London in 1963 and trained at Rose Bruford College. He made his first television appearance in 1968 in The Portrait of a Lady, followed by parts in Doctor Who, The Saint and The Avengers. His big break came with The Man Who Haunted Himself (1970), in which he played Luigi the butler. He became known on television as Max Papandrious in the sitcom Mind Your Language from 1977 to 1979, appearing in 29 episodes. In Midnight Express (1978) he played the prosecutor at Billy Hayes's trial. Steven Spielberg later cast him as Kazim in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Later credits include Belly of the Beast (2003), Flight of the Phoenix (2004), Taken 2 (2012), Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014) and The Cut (2014). He also appeared as Parvus in Payitaht: Abdülhamid and has performed in Shakespeare plays and Royal Shakespeare Company productions.
